beta verde is the local food project of mother and daughter, Margaret Norfleet Neff and Salem Norfleet Neff, that has been evolving since 2008.
Beginning with garden-to-table suppers at their home at the outskirts of Winston-Salem, the need to preserve their harvest developed into a passion for creative and delicious jams and pickles and syrups using local, pesticide-free fruit and vegetables, some from their garden and some from other growers in the Piedmont.
In 2012, beta verde started the Old Salem Cobblestone Farmers Market and in 2013, manage the Cobblestone Farmers Market on Saturday and Tuesday. Look for them at their booth or the information table!
